Worksheets function reference with syntax

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Can anyone point me to a listing of all the functions available to be used in a worksheet? I have searched here and in the knowledgebase, but not found a good resource. My bound manual lists the most common ones, but there are a lot more available in the pull down list that I can't find any documentation for.

Thanks!

In VW2015 a search of the online help for "Worksheet Functions" appears to show 60+ functions. I have not done a direct comparison to the pulldown, but this should be most of them.

Couple these with the ="Record"."Field" format to get information from objects in the drawing and you have all of the power of worksheets.

The Help also refers you to the developer docs if you need more information on criteria.

I extracted a few of the more common ones here:

http://kbase.vectorworks.net/questions/1088/Worksheet+Functions+-+Windows

http://kbase.vectorworks.net/questions/1090/Worksheet+Functions+-+Plants

http://kbase.vectorworks.net/questions/1089/Worksheet+Functions+-+Doors

But a trick you can use to find new, specific functions is Tools > Reports > Create Report, pick the type of object you want to look at the fields of, then add all the fields to the worksheet to be created. Then, you can look at the database header rows in the worksheet to find the functions for the desired objects/fields.

Its reverse-engineering certainly, but I have never come across a comprehensive list.
