Andy M Posted January 6, 2015 Share Posted January 6, 2015 Hi, When I add symbols and convert it to a lighting instrument, the body of the instrument tilts to resemble it focusing at some point in 3D space. Possibly a default focus point.. Is it possible to turn this auto thing off? VW2015... Thanks in advance for your help. Quote Link to comment
michaelk Posted January 6, 2015 Share Posted January 6, 2015 If you have no focus points, the body tilts about 30° off the horizontal. It does this - and the aim at a focus point trick - by attaching a record format to 3 objects in the 3D part of the symbol. To defeat this and make all the instruments point straight down you can either - edit the 3D part of each instrument, select everything except the 3D locus, untick the Parts record format in the data tab of the OIP OR - Delete the Parts record format from the resource browser. You will have to redelete if you import another instrument symbol. You can also edit the 3D part of each symbol to have them point at an angle of your liking.
