Lisa Bernacchi
How do you create a vertical lighting pipe? Thanks Quote Link to comment
RickR
Since you can not 3D rotate a hybrid object you need to start with a 3D only element Make a 2D circle and extrude it. You can add a 2D circle as well to have a hybrid symbol. Lighting Positions like to be hybrid. Whatever you draw, make it a symbol and then use the 'convert to lighting position' function. Some examples from my resources: Quote Link to comment
JBenghiat
Or use the Lighting Pipe tool. There is an option to rotate the 3D component to vertical. Note that Lighting Devices aren't really aware of their position's geometry, so if you want to draw a vertical position in both 2D plot and 3D model views, you need to work either with viewports or the Create Plot and Model View command. There are a few threads in this forum on the subject. -Josh Quote Link to comment
