tpenna
I was showing Vectorworks 2012 to a student the other day. When I showed her the list of fonts in the Text menu, she saw that when you hover over the Font> menu the list of fonts pops up (see attached image), but rather than being a vertical list that you can scroll through, it's a box with multiple columns that takes up the entire window and there are no buttons to let you scroll through the list. You're basically stuck with fonts whose names begin with A through S. How can you get over to the rest of the font list? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted December 5, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 5, 2014 It has been a problem for a long time. I will request that it be fixed again, it is still problematic on Windows versions of Vectorworks 2015. on Os X the menu simply scrolls as you would expect. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Hi Jim, (Sorry, OT) While you're at it, PLEASE, can we see what the actual fonts look like, while in the list ?? This would be so helpful I would get all atwitter ;-) P Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted December 5, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 5, 2014 Thats a big wish of mine as well. Its already possible within the preview while editing text styles, but users are used to having it in the main list from working with Adobe and Microsoft products. (In fact I think its done that way EVERYwhere else now...) Quote Link to comment

acepernich
Half of one, six dozen of another ... Where the font name is displayed using the font, is annoying where you have lots of symbol fonts. Something hybrid might be good - the name in the selected font and also in a generic text font. tpenna
I just discovered that if you have dual monitors the font menu will expand across both so that you can see twice as many fonts. Quote Link to comment
