Note length of the truss

Hello everyone . i have a simply questions maybe with a simply answer :

I would like to note the length of the truss automatically inserted in the drawing , how can I do . ?

In the picture I had to do everything by hand , piece by piece . But when I have to use more than 400 pieces in different sizes I lose a lot of time .

I was taught long ago that the first rule of CAD is never to draw anything twice.

The simplest answer would be to make symbols of your most common lengths. This way you can place, copy and rotate them freely.

What you can't do is edit the truss itself without changing all the symbols. For that you would first need to convert the symbol into a group.

If you assign that length text to a Class other than that for the general truss geometry, you can show/hide that dimension text at-will. In fact, carried out a step or 2 further, you can do lots w. embedded Classes - simple/complex truss geometry, rigging guides, etc.
