Tom Klaber
I always thought that the door and window tags were page based symbols, but a client of mine pointed out that that is not true. The tag scales with the viewport. This seems wrong to me - as the tag should remain the same size no matter what the scale of the drawing. Am I doing something wrong? How do I set up the tag to be a page base? Thanks! Tom Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted November 11, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 11, 2014 Their size can be controlled separately in the viewport under the Text Scaling option in Advanced Properties in the OIP for each viewport, but thats the only way I had seen the ID labels scaled differently before. Tom Klaber
The only issue is that changes the size of ALL text - not just door tags. Can we get page-scale door tags next release? Thanks! Quote Link to comment

TKA
I am not sure why there is so little conversation about it. I find it very common to reuse drawings at different scales and lack of control over tag size makes it very difficult. The only solution so far is to manually place a "fake" tag on all drawings except one. It kind of goes against whole BIM idea. Quote Link to comment

gvlgvlgvl
Agreed, this is a big workflow issue as it forces us to redraw 2d tags in interior elevations ( as those are usually at a different scale) which are not associated with the door object or the BIM plan. As Chad Hamilton mentioned above, this should apply to other tags in viewports. Perhaps we will see some way to address this in the upcoming new release. Quote Link to comment
