Moving the radius dimension text

Use to be able to move the radius or diameter text along the radius or diameter line but now we can't.

Please bring this feature back since we can move any other dimension text where we like it.

What version did you last see this feature in? I went back as far as Vectorworks 12.5 and the dimension text of a radial dimension was not movable.

Have you tried using the Selection tool to drag it?

I've wish listed this before. The text should be moveable like any other dimension. (It has never been possible to move it as far as I know.)

Since you are commenting on an 11 year old thread you might have a better shot at getting this is you started a new thread instead.

the length along the dimension line can be moved if you use aligned for the text rotation, or you can set up a dimension standard to control the location. failing all that, turn off the Show Dim Value and write text where you want.

@Jonathan Pickup Try moving the text slightly if it is inside, for example, a circle. 

 

This appears to be a long standing bug in Radial dimensioning.(v2020?)

 

If you have the Mode Bar set to Diametrical, when Radial Dimensioning is selected, it might draw a Radial dimension instead. To correct for this, set the Mode Bar to Radial First (... or other than Diameter) then back to Diameter.

 

If the Dimension number is inside a Circle, then you - apparently - can not move it slightly - The only adjustable location appears to be a dimension. number outside the Circle  - with Radial or a with Diametrical Mode
