clip cube

i am trying to save a viewport from a layer view with a clip cube applied, but in the viewport the clip cube does not appear

any advice would be appreciated

The Clip Cube doesn't really do this (yet?) there is a current request for a 3d crop. It creates a temporary isolation of a volume within the Design Layers.

What you can do is use any of the faces of the Clip Cube to create a Section Viewport that can live in 2d on a Sheet Layer or in 3d on a Design Layer.

Hover over a face>Right Click>Create Section Viewport.

I would like to see as a future feature added is that a SLVP cropping object can not only be a 2d polygon or rectangle but a 3D Extruded object with a toggle to show either the inside or the outside of the container.

I vote for a 3d crop object. I think I've wish listed this before. It would be incredibly useful....
