Templates in Workgroup Folder not appearing in Vectoworks 'new file' dialogue

Christiaan

Question

According to help files the order of priority for resources shown in VW is:

1. User folder

2. Workgroup folder

3. Vectorworks application folder

http://app-help.nemetschek.net/2015/NNA/eng/VW2015_Guide/Workgroup/Sharing_Custom_Content_Using_Workgroup_Folders.htm

So if I have templates in the Workgroup folder (and no template files in the user folder) why does File > New... list all the template files in the Application folder and none of the templates in my Workgroup folder?

I'm not sure about Macs...

In Win7 the templates are in a subfolder of the defaults library.

C:\Users\Rick\AppData\Roaming\Nemetschek\Vectorworks\2015\Libraries\Defaults\Templates

This is a change from 2014.

That looks like the user folder Rick. On the Mac:

HD/Users/useraccount/Library/Application Support/Vectorworks/2015

Then there's the Application folder:

HD/Applications/Vectorworks/

But then there's also the Workgroup folder, typically something like:

Server HD/Vectorworks Library/2015

It's this last one I'm not seeing templates from that I should be.
