MikeB
We stumbled upon a strange little bug today, if you try export a polygon (or polyline) with a solid fill but no line weight, it will not export (or import, I'm not sure where the object accually disappears) Is this a bug, or is it a limitation of the import/export engine? Thanks Quote Link to comment
P Retondo
Mike, Since fills don't translate into ACAD, is it possible the object is there but you just can't see it because of the 0 line thickness? Quote Link to comment
MikeB
I thought of that, so I reimported my DWG into VW and the objects really aren't there. Quote Link to comment
ionw
Miike, I had this same problem in 9.x.x with round walls being used in the same way by one of our designers. I think at the time we simply turned on the lines so our consultant could at least see the paths they were representing. I guess now that VW 10 supports hatches and fills in its import/export I would try to set the pen color/pattern to match the fill, and make it a very fine line. just a thought. Quote Link to comment
Guest
Mike, Are you using VW 10 or 9? If you are using VW 10, make sure you have Export 2d fills checkmarked. A 2d object with no pen and a solid fill will export just as you see it in VW when opened in AutoCad 2k. VW 9, this behavior is represented as 2d fills are not exported.
