Rebuild the Multiple Extrude menu item

Multiple extrudes are troublesome and outdated. Please rebuild the multiple extrude command so it creates lofted solids (ie. the equivalent to using the NURBS loft command and checking the create solid checkbox). Its time that the existing multiple extrude code was banished to the garbage.

Ultimately it should be more like the C4D loft object, where you can edit it and drag the profiles in relation to each other.

Bumping this. Here's a simple example in another thread of where a rectangle and a line create unusable geometry -

 

 

The Multiple Extrude command should be smarter than this.

Also good if we could have a visual control of the aligning node.

Often get hour glass results when the system wants to join two vertex on the opposite sides as the starting point.
