3d Locus - displaying real world elevation

I'll often place a 3d locus to identify a position and point in space. The OIP reports it's z value relative to the layer elevation. I'd like it to also show the real world z value and rename the current x,y,z values x,y,z'

Was wondering if I'd find this wish. In general I'd like to see where any object is in space (in the z-axis) not just based on the layer I'm on. This would be really helpful when drawing 3d objects where layers are not critical to drawing the object.
