Change the "select" shortcut from X to spacebar?

I'm starting out with VW. All my other software has the spacebar set to exit the current tool and switch to "select." Can I make this change in VW.

No - as Space Bar is for panning.

What you are looking for is the "X" key.

You can remap the Selection tool to a key other than X in the Workspace Editor, but the Spacebar is hard-coded as it has a number of functions relating to suspending the currently active tool for panning/zooming and view changes.

Thanks for the response. Hmm? Considering all my other software uses the space bar to activate Select, this really infringes on my workflow habits.

(My Modo also drops the tool with Spacebar, so I hammer on it too )

But I for myself would like to have LMB+ALT for Flyover Tool.

Just like all my other 3D software.

(Instead of MMB+CTRL)

But Click+ALT is occupied by selection options.

It doesn't look like I could change that in Workspace Editor.

So I try to live with it.
