Drawing only visible while zooming.

Hi All,

I'm new to vectorworks & the forum & have what i hope is a simply answered question!

I work from two workstations, my desktop @ the office and a laptop at home.

When I open a rather large file on my laptop my entire drawing is only visible while i'm scrolling and/or zooming.

Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks very much.

Hi Abrewin

Sounds like a video card limitation, but there are plenty of folks here that can verify this. You might find it helpful to edit your profile so when you post a question all the viewers can see your computer specs, VW version, etc.

Good luck and I think you'll find this a great resource for trouble shooting and generally learning more about VW.

I am running VW 2014 Fundamentals, Architect, Renderworks & Interiorcad.

Here are my computer specs for now:

? Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

? 2nd generation Intel® Quad Core i7-2720QM (2.2 GHz, 6MB L3 Cache) w/Turbo Boost up to 3.3 GHz

? 1GB GDDR5 Radeon HD 6770M Graphics [HDMI, VGA]

? 16 GB installed as 2 x 8 GB PC3-10600 memory

? 750GB 5400RPM Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection

Close Vectorworks, then download and install this:

http://www2.ati.com/drivers/14-4-win7-win8-win8.1-64-dd-ccc-whql.exe

If it lets you install (Some laptop OEMs make you use custom drivers, let me know if this fails) then reboot and retry zooming and panning in Vectorworks.

Thank you very much for your response. It unfortunately would not let me download it. This is the response I received:

I did try the AMD driver auto detect but it could not finish installing.
