Site model settings

Hello all

I would love to hear your opinions on the following:

What is the best 3d settings for a site model. When I say best I mean what would be best for accurately displaying changes in elevation or slope on a model while keeping the resources in check. I have a pretty big model (24 acres) and its getting filled up with trees which is placing some stress on the system.

Currently I'm using 3D mesh solid.

Using stepped contours accurately illustrates grade changes. When you use the Realistic White rendering setting, the finished image looks like a photo of a model made with cut white foam core board.
