emmakevent7832 Posted July 17, 2014 Share Posted July 17, 2014 Hi, I'm trying to apply a "sketchy" effect to my floor plans and elevations on a sheet. I can't seem to get it to happen though. Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted July 17, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted July 17, 2014 You should just need to render in Hidden Line, then in Line Render Options for the design layer or for a specific viewport, enable "Sketch Hidden Line Results". I'm looking at the drawingon the page in layout view. Is it under the dropdown for "background render" where I should be changing to hidden line? Sorry! Quote Link to comment

emmakevent7832 Posted July 23, 2014 Author Share Posted July 23, 2014 When looking at the viewport on the sheet I go to view>render and try to select "hidden line" everything other than "wireframe" is greyed out though? (see screenshot) When I'm actually in the design layer and I try it I can get to that stage of the line render settings but then the "sketch hidden line results" option is greyed out. Sigh... Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted July 23, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted July 23, 2014 For Viewports you select the viewport, then under "Background Render" you would set Hidden Line, then click the "Background Render Settings" option to change them there. Make sure to complete the Renderworks Getting Started Guide in order to cover these basics: http://www.vectorworks.net/training/getting-started-guides/renderworks/ Also, do you just have Fundamentals? Only Architect, Spotlight, Landmark or Designer can perform sketch renderings. Make sure to add your computer and application information to your signature to avoid this confusion in the future Quote Link to comment
