Dillon
I am constantly bumping up against out of memory errors when saving. Autosave works fine, but regular save doesn't. These are files in the 300mb+ range. Some days a file will regular save. Some days it won't. I can't find a pattern. I'm using 2014 with SP4. I thought SP4 was supposed to solve this problem. Anyone have a solution or a known conflict with another program? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted July 11, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted July 11, 2014 Using Purge will help reduce the file size and can help mitigate the problem: http://kbase.vectorworks.net/questions/1224/Purging+Your+Document However, there are hard limits at the moment that will be going away, its discussed in a number of threads. I think this is the most recent: https://techboard.vectorworks.net/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=199343 Quote Link to comment
bcd
this is a workaround that works: https://techboard.vectorworks.net/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Main=40017&Number=198588#Post198588 but rather than rectangles create dummy 2d loci, fewer clicks, faster autosave, then restart VW and open the up to date backup file.
