Quick Access Perspective

I would like to see the introduction of a quick way to access/toggle the perspective view settings, i.e. perhaps an option in the view bar similar to the render modes.

You could assign shortcut keys to the menu items in the projection menu, AFAIK.

YES!  I just found this thread in a Google search.  Is there still not a way to toggle between 2D / orthogonal view? 

 

It would make it a whole lot easier to align objects quickly.

Could the Isometric views in the standard views be changed from current ortho to perspective all the time?

 

Then hitting 1,3,7 & 9 numeric keyboard would get us to a perspective with orbit to adjust, similarly 2,4,6 & 8 would get us ortho/elevations.

BTW there is an older architect (never cad) who is convinced the Ortho views are bad perspectives that flair out from the camera.
