John Whyte
Is there a way to get infinite length guides / guidelines, so that they cover the whole of the design layer ? At the moment the only ones ive been able to make is by drawing a line selecting it and hitting make / create guides. But this only makes me a guide the length of the line i drew. JoshW
You used to be able to use 2d locus for this. For some reason this feature was removed a few versions ago. Could we get this back? Quote Link to comment
michaelk
It's still there. I think somebody (Pat?) posted this a while ago, but I can't find his post at the moment. Make a script with just this line of code: SetPref(5,NOT GetPref(5)); That will toggle what I think used to be called "Snap to Loci" on and off. hth mk Quote Link to comment

I have no idea why the ability to enable such a commonly-used function would have been removed if the capability is still within the application. I'll put a request in to have it reinstated again. Script attached to this post to save a short step for users coming across this. Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
The Extensions options of the Smart Cursor Settings (Smart Point and Smart Edge tabs) provide much more capability than Snap to Loci ever did. For those who want to go one step further the Full Screen Cursor can be used (Interactive tab of Vectorworks Preferences). Quote Link to comment
