Dual Dimension in Reports

Recommended Posts

Yes.

The worksheet will always want to show dimensions in document units. So you will need to do the conversion math.

Imperial to metric is easy. It's just a conversion factor.

Metric to imperial is more difficult, but not impossible. Basically it's like this:

1. Conversion factor to get inches.

2. ## DIV 12 to get feet

3. ## MOD 12 to get inches. Square this result and take the square root to avoid a negative value. (you don't want both the feet and inches to be negative)

4. Concatenate the two values with the imperial dimension formatting.

I'll attach an example of each. If you want to see how it's done, there is a webinar that should be posted to VSS soon. Until then you can see it here: http://verysmallgroup.com/santa-barbara-vectorworks/movies-and-stuff/worksheet-webinar-3.html
