barkest
In another thread Jim mentioned Camera Match which I had not heard of before. After watching the video it looks good. Does anyone have any experience of using it and what did you think of it? thank you Quote Link to comment
IanH
Matt Panzer on this forum is responsible for it. I cannot fault his support for this product. Ive used it to good effect in conjunction with a 3D paint program called Piranesi to produce some very organic images that were used on The Alan Titchmarsh Show about two years back. I think Matt may still have a few examples on his website. Alas Vectorworks is no longer compatible at export level with Piranesi. It takes a bit of getting use to understanding vanishing points and lining up, but with good real life images (not all images are suitable for use with Camera Match), the end results can be fabulous. Well worth it if you need to composite a 3D model into a real world shot. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
I have had good results with CM, and Matt for sure provides great support. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Matt Panzer Posted June 4, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted June 4, 2014 Hi Steve, If you have not discovered it, CameraMatch 2013 (for Vectorworks 2013 and 2014) has a free 10 day trial period. All you need to do is download it , install it, and give it a spin: http://www.panzercad.com/downloads/cameramatch-2013/ I also encourage you to try this tutorial: http://www.panzercad.com/panzercad-products/cameramatch/cameramatch-2013-workflow-tutorial/ You can download the tutorial file and follow along in Vectorworks. This should get you a quick understanding of how it works. If you do get stuck, feel free to send me a file with questions. All I ask is for files to be sent via WeTranfer.com, YouSendit.com, DropBox, or other (non-direct email) service. Thanks for the kind words Ian & Peter! Quote Link to comment
