visard
In the stories modeling system, how do we close the exterior end of the floor assembly, by running the exterior wall, or wall finish, past the floor assembly or other? Is the story defined as the floor to floor assemblage? Thanks, v. Quote Link to comment
Guest Wes Gardner
Hi Ed, I typically set up my stories at the top of structural slab for commercial work and top of sub-floor for residential. For 2014, I embed an offset in the wall style to accommodate running the sheathing and exterior cladding long. Yes, this can, and usually does, result in a wall style specific to the first floor and another for floors above, etc. Wes Quote Link to comment
Dieter @ DWorks
I have tried many thing, and this is what I find most usefull: You can then have the story at the z-level of the finished floor to easier work with heights. Exterior walls will go from bottom to bottom of the structural slabs, interior walls will go from top to bottom of the structural slabs, etc....
