visard
I seem to remember that it was possible to get all of the two dimensional drawn objects to show in their proper place, that is plan position, when viewing a three dimensional model - is this still possible, what's the command? Thanks, v. Quote Link to comment
bcd
They need to be Layer Plane rather than Screen Plane objects. Go to Top/Plan view, select the objects and choose Layer Plane in the Object Info Palette. Quote Link to comment
Benson Shaw
A couple things: In a Viewport's OIP there are check boxes for Display Planar Objects, and Project Screen Objects. In Design layers, 2d objects have several modes determined by the drawing plane mode in the view bar (Layer, Automatic, Screen, and a few situational ones) and the object's OIP status (Layer/Screen). For instance, if an object is designated Screen in the OIP Plane flyout, it stays on a plane parallel to the screen as the 3d view changes. Switch it to Layer and the object "sticks" to the ground plane, or working plane, while the drawing view is changed (the Plan Position). HTH -B Quote Link to comment
