pdrake
whenever i go back and try to edit pipe and base lengths with the reshape tool it always twists the base plate of the end i've moved. is this normal? i've included before/after shots. Quote Link to comment
RickR
I have also seen this. It seems to that the end base is aligning with the hidden closing section of the defining polygon. Breaking the polygon into lines will control it, but you get double posts at the corners. Quote Link to comment
C. Andrew Dunning
Perry - 4 questions: 1) Is this the stock Spotlight or the Landru Design version of the tool? 2) Are you getting the rotated base at the starting or ending of the P&D run? 3) Do you get this after adjusting straight single-segment runs AND multi-segment runs - or, just one or the other? 4) In what VW version are you seeing this issue? Being able to see a sample file showing the error would be helpful. You can post that here in this thread or send it to me directly by using the "Contact" link in the Web site below. Thanks. pdrake
i've had it happen on the beginning and the end of both stright segments and multi segments. it's stock spotlight in VW 2014. i've also seen it in 2013. Quote Link to comment
C. Andrew Dunning
Thanks, Perry! What's going on w. the "problem" SG instance in the file you posted is that the start of the P&D run got moved away from the Insertion Point of the PIO. If you toggle the "Loci" Class on, you'll see where the Insertion Point actually is. Until I can figure out a fix, the work-around is to keep the P&D starting point on the PIO Insertion Point. The other 2 modes ("Curtain" and "Border" don't have this issue. Quote Link to comment
