Patrick Fritsch
I have a DTM with a site modifier "pad w/ retaining edge" to give the overall bldg footprint excavation, then I added inside this modifier more pads with retaining edges to represent the FILL but they are showing up as CUT volumes instead (see attached, one of the FILL modifiers is shown. Any ideas, whats not right? Quote Link to comment

Patrick Fritsch
Yes, no modifier overlaps either? To get the under slab fill visually shown, I inverted the base of the modifiers "pad w/ retaining edge", so that the retaining edges are actually lower than the pad base. The program generates the visuals properly but still thinks it's cut? Quote Link to comment
Patrick Fritsch
Has anyone ever validated the accuracy of the cut and fill calculations that vectorworks performs on a DTM? I'm having doubts that it's accurate, based on manual take-off comparison. Quote Link to comment
