This is a direct follow up to a discussion about how releases work (specifically 64 bit) happening in a thread about the new Mac Pros in the General Discussions forum....
I would like to suggest that NV explore an open beta program for future releases like many other companies have (McNeel Rhino and FormZ come to mind, Autodesk also has many free "projects"). Perhaps it would be specifically targeted to Service Select members since they already have accounts and a support pipeline to report bugs.
This would follow on the success of the new open-ness in the forums and would be a perk for those of us that are interested. I'm already reporting a significant number of bugs, it would be great to test out the new technologies as well.
