Markus Barrera-Kolb
On the mac (OS 10.9.2), with my default printer in the OS set to our small laser printer, I find that I cannot select our plotter when publishing (batch printing) from VW2014 ? it keeps reverting to the laser, no matter what I do. However, when I set my OS default printer to 'Last Printer Used', it works just fine. Anyone else encountering this, and is there a way to fix it? I'd really like to still be able to set a default printer in my OS. Thanks! Cheers, Markus Edited April 25, 2014 by Markus Barrera-Kolb Quote Link to comment
SonnyLuong
Yes, when you set your default printer, every time you print something, doesn't matter which app you are using, the system directs the command to that printer. But you should be able to switch printer manually before you hit print. Quote Link to comment
Markus Barrera-Kolb
...what I'm saying is, VW is not allowing me to select the plotter for the patch printing if I've selected another printer as the default in the OS. Is that not the case for you? Quote Link to comment
SonnyLuong
I have to say I don't have that problem, however, I do have to change the printer in the printing property dialog box every time I want to use a printer that is not a default printer. Quote Link to comment
RickR
I think many folks are missing a detail of the new publishing dialog. It took me a while to find just how it worked. Obvious once you know how... Before you set something to print the options button give the settings for that particular item. Afterwards you have to select it in the right hand widow to change the settings. This way you can print to multiple printers or page formats and save PDF/DWG/etc under one command. It's all there!
