Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted April 8, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted April 8, 2014 When you say it does nothing, it finishes the render and you see solid black or white, or does it always show wireframe? Does the same thing occur when you render in a viewport? Keep in mind the Realistic Interior/Exterior modes will take significantly longer than regular Final Quality. Quote Link to comment
Patrick Fritsch
Screen shots of "nothing" would be helpful. Is there activity in the progress bar at the bottom right of your VW window? It can take time. Lastly, add a signature with your computer and program version details. Quote Link to comment

ali ba
Hi, normally the bar shows it doing something at the bottom but it just stays as a wireframe no activity at all. Im wondering is this because i have updated quick time as a message came up that it may not work with 2012 and may have to unitsall and reinstall the previous version? cheers Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted April 9, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted April 9, 2014 QT is really unlikely to be the problem with Renderworks modes. That error message will pop up for any version of QuickTime that doesn't match the installed version, but I haven't needed to have someone use an older version of QT since around Vectorworks 12.5/2008. Make sure to close Vectorworks and install the last patch released for Vectorworks 2012: http://www.vectorworks.net/downloads/ServicePack.php?major=2012&servicepack=5 If you already have it installed and the same problem is occurring, send tech@vectorworks.net the following: http://kbase.vectorworks.net/questions/627/DirectX+Diagnostics+and+System+Profiler along with a link to this thread and we can have a look.
