seth wilson
When rotating, I can only see the bounding box around the object I am trying to rotate. Can I just see the actual object as I rotate it? That would be alot easier. Quote Link to comment
seth wilson
So sometimes when I rotate things I can see them and some times I get the blue square and I don't understand why? Is there a key command to make an object reset to its original rotation? Edited March 21, 2014 by seth wilson Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted March 21, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 21, 2014 Some objects will offer a preview, but other objects, such as hybrid symbols (I think) will just show their bounding area. Unfortunately i know of no way of forcing objects to show details in 2D rather than their bounding area during rotation. Quote Link to comment
seth wilson
I figured out the problem. I was making copies of the object. When rotating the original object I can see it, but when rotating the copy I can only see the bounding box. Does that mean that each copy is only an instance of the original? If that is the case can I make the copies independent? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted March 24, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 24, 2014 If the objects are symbols, they will be linked together and can all be modified at the same time. This details this process a bit more: http://kbase.vectorworks.net/questions/923/Symbol+Names If not, they are all individual instances of that object. Quote Link to comment
