Please pull at least this preference for the Extract Tool out to the mode bar. Its very inconvenient hidden away. Really all of a tools preferences should be visible in the mode bar and easily accessible.
Or how about a right click contextual menu that allows access to the active tools modes and preference.....
Or something, anything, more modern than the current interface....
