Lee Rose
OK, maybe I'm missing something. I was trying to insert symbols along a curved balcony pipe at an even spacing. Is there a simple way to do it other than duplicate array on a circle with figuring the degree of the pipe curve? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted March 21, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 21, 2014 Normally you can use Duplicate Along Path. The Extract tool can be used in Extract Curve mode on the pipe objects you want to place the symbols along, then you use the extracted curve as the path object for the duplication. JBenghiat
Lee, If you don't have the same fixture type at each point, I've developed a solution for drawing curved pipes with evenly spaced tick marks. If you venture into 2014, create a Lighting Pipe object using the Point on Arc Mode (the object draws like a polyline). Once created, you can also adjust the pipe's length, radius, and arc center. For VW 2013, you can use Savvy Position Pipes, which has a Position Pipe Arc Tool. -Josh Quote Link to comment
