Meiriceanach
Upgraded from VW 2011 to 2014 and the "key to instrumentation" command is gone. How the heck do you generate a key. I've found all sorts of lists and reports but no simple click and drop like in older versions. Pretty annoying really Thanks in advance Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted March 13, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 13, 2014 There is a new "Instrument Summary" tool. Much better than the old Key to Instrumentation. Quote Link to comment
Meiriceanach
Where is it? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted March 13, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 13, 2014 It's not a menu command it's a tool. Look for it in the Spotlight tool palette. Quote Link to comment
mikekow80
How do you edit fixture names? I like some of the new features, but I'd like more basic names. I've changed names of the symbol and in the Lighting Maintenance menu. Maybe we can get an in depth walk thru on one of the webinars one day. Quote Link to comment
SAR
The name information seems to come from the Model name. When I want to change the name for the "Key" I put the desired name into the model field from the instrument maintenance menu. You can also put your instrument name into the type field and then automatically put the type name into the model field using the "copy all types to model name button". There indeed was one: http://www.vectorworks.net/media/vectorworks-spotlight-2014-new-lighting-pipe-and-instrument-summary-features I don't know if you were subscribed to Service Select, but searchable archives of all previous wenibnars are available there. -Josh Quote Link to comment
