alfresco
I am starting a new project and am using a massing model with site modifier option ticked. How do I specify the site modifier be used for existing site conditions on the site model? Currently the massing model seems to be a factor in he cut volume. I would like to use cut and fill calculations for my proposed project work and would like the massing model / modifier to be for existing only on the site model. Thanks, lm Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Neil Barman Posted March 7, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 7, 2014 I seem to recall reading something that may relate to this recently on Jonathan Pickup's site... Check out the "Topics Covered" section of this session. http://learn.archoncad.com/2013/10/14758/landmark_sig_035-special-interest-group-september-2013/ I haven't watched that one myself, but I hope it helps. -Neil Quote Link to comment
Benson Shaw
I think there are several approaches. One way is to make your own site modifiers instead of using the Massing Model modifiers. Select the Massing Model and uncheck the "Use Site Mods" & Grade Limits in OIP Draw a plan view rectangle or 2d poly representing a pad for the MM. Draw another poly for the grade limit outside the new pad. Select the first one and click AEC>Create Objects from Shapes>Site Modifier. In the OIP choose Config>Pad and Apply to>Existing. Adjust z value and slope as nec. Same process for the Grade Limit poly. Update the DTM and display the Existing. -B Quote Link to comment
