Trillian
My drawings are printing at a draft quality in one drawing - resolution is 300dpi in Document Preferences>Resolution. Is there any other setting elsewhere that controls this that I may have missed? (It's not the printer, I've triple checked) Thanks Quote Link to comment
Benson Shaw
If printing sheet layers, they have their own resolution setting. Check by editing the layer through the Navigation or Organization Palette. -B Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted March 3, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 3, 2014 ^ What Benson says. New sheet layers will be at 72 DPI by default, which is fine for quick screen viewing but no good for a nice plot. Usually between 150DPI and 300DPI for a sheet layer is fine, any higher and rendered viewports take much longer to complete. Quote Link to comment

Trillian
Many thanks all, I knew I had to be missing something. Is there a way to change the default? Manually going back through all the sheets will take a while, I'd prefer not to have to keep doing it from here to eternity on new sheets. Quote Link to comment
JoshW
When you create a new sheet layer, if you have the "edit properties after creation" check box checked, a second dialogue opens up. In that dialogue box is a field for setting the DPI for the sheet. You can also select all of the sheet layers in the organization window and edit them at once after the fact. Quote Link to comment
