VW 12.5

Call me a Luddite but I'm still using Version 12.5 on a PC. I'm sick of Windows and thinking of switching to a Mac. Is anyone out there running 12.5 on a current Mac? Otherwise, it's update time for me.

Vectorworks 12.5.3 should install and run fine on a Mac with OS X 10.4 or OS X 10.5, you may have problems getting it to run on OS X 10.6 and most likely you will not be able to even get past installation on OS X 10.7 or later.

i had 12.5 when i upgraded to 10.5 as a software upgrade all the measurement bars on screen went haywire i would not recommend 12.5 running on anything later than 10.4 from my personal experience in fact i had to purchase an old quad tower mac and reinstall it to run correctly

My 12.5 seems fine on OS 10.6.8

But I haven't done anything intense with it for a while.

Thanks to all for the input. I know I should upgrade, but 12.5 was such a fine release- very stable with everything I need and very little I don't need. I am excited about getting a Mac, though. Windows seems to have lost it's way.

I have a client that uses VW 2011. We have some issues if I workgroup reference into 2014 and back again. I have issues working native in VW2011 on my Mac.

I have a project from 2005 that is opened from time to time in VW 12.5 and it tends to open and work fine. The caveat is we're only opening it for reference and not working in VW 12.5.
