MaryBea
I'm having trouble adding a texture to 3d tubing - the texture (i.e. metal tungsten from 'metals plastics glass') shows up in the object info but not when I render the drawing. Thanks for any help. Bea Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted February 13, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 13, 2014 Could you please post a sample VWX file where you are having this problem? Also, is the texture not appearing in any rendering mode or just one? Quote Link to comment
bcd
The tube will respect the 'By Class' attributes & textures. Quote Link to comment
MaryBea
Thanks for replies. Here is the file. The texture doesn't appear in Open GL either. Bea Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Brian was right. You can't give the square tubing a texture directly. Probably because it's a parametric object. But you can put it into a class that has a texture assigned to it. Or you could Modify > Convert > Convert to Group to turn it into an extrude. Then you can apply a texture directly to it. hth mk Quote Link to comment
