Curved Geometry...

I'm trying to create a sort of cone shape. I've been able to get the shape using multiple extrude but the operation crashes VW as soon as I move the model post extrusion. Any suggestions for an alternative way to do this that VW can handle. Frustrated because doing this in SketchUp is fairly simple.

It looks like a Loft Surface between those two profiles would work. I don't think we have detailed Loft Surface in a recent video, but it should be explained to some extent in one of these older ones:

Don't use a multiple extrude if you can help it. They are very problematic and generate way too much geometry. It is in need of updating. Try a loft surface as Jim suggests.

(Or you might try mirroring your profile along the bottom straight edge and creating a tapered extrude. Cut the resulting geometry into two with the split tool to get the shape you're wanting.)

I think it might be something else because I didn't have the same problem using the multiple extrusion technique. But as Kevin has said, you can avoid using multiple extrusion and use loft with or without rails depends on how you set up your NURBS curve(s). You can also draw the profile on front, left, or right view; then sweep it 180 degree about a locus point.
