wyldscape
Hi, I am trying to create a landscape area with a gap within the area... So there is a larger square and a water feature in the middle so I obviously dont want to calculate that space as planting. The landscape area tool only lets me draw 1 area though? any tips appreciated cheers Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Tamsin Slatter Posted January 20, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted January 20, 2014 You can cut a hole in your Landscape Area as follows: 1. Draw the Landscape Area to the size of the outer shape. Turn on the tag and make a note of the area. 2. Draw the shape of the hole over the top, with a 2D shape, such as the rectangle tool 3. With the Selection tool, select the Landscape Area and 2D shape. 4. Choose Modify > Clip Surface. The rectangle will be cut from the Landscape Area and the tag will display the reduced area. 5. You can now delete the rectangle if you wish. Quote Link to comment
