Ken
Such a simple question. I can't find the answer in any literature or search. I've just signed up for SS. Logged into Nomad on my iPad (iOS 7.0.4), sync'd with my DropBox, but Nomad only sees the PDF documents. How is Nomad better than DropBox if it only sees PDF files? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted December 30, 2013 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 30, 2013 The key difference is mainly the markup capabilities which they keep adding as time goes by: Quote Link to comment
Ken
But no access to Vectorworks 3D models and the associated FlyoverTool, etc.? I've been having to export models as STL files via DropBox to i3D Viewer. http://www.meshformsolutions.com/index.php/i3d-viewer Quote Link to comment

grant_PD
Which I don't get. Isn't that already available as the CADfaster 3rd party plugin? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted December 30, 2013 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 30, 2013 (edited) Correct, they both serve similar functions. Currently they don't really compete in functionality, but eventually they very well may. Edited December 30, 2013 by JimW Quote Link to comment
Ken
Jim, I suggest that you inform your Sales team to NOT ADVERTISE it as a way to view Vectorworks drawings away from the office, like on an iPad. Viewing drawings include interactive flyovers of 3D models. Nomad was described to me as a powerful feature available only in Service Select. Now I'm disappointed. Quote Link to comment
