Fill to stair in section

Any ideas why my stairs look like a dogs meal in section? In particular why the fill is displayed the way it is.

Turn the smoothing angle up to 20 or 30. That will take care of the vertical lines between treads and probably the segmenting under the bottom.

Looks like your section style is set to a class with a funny hatch?

Thanks Michael, I'm not using the Section Style class method. I'm using the original object attributes method. The stairs should be filled with a concrete hatch but for whatever reason only part of the stair is being filled.

Wes, you wouldn't know happen to know if this related to a particular version of v2014 would you?

I'm thinking of going back to the initial release.

Edit: opening in original release of 2014 doesn't help.

I might be mistaken, but I think the problem goes back to the original release. I know when I submitted my bug a while ago, I tried it in 2013 and all was well, then in 2014, there was the issue.

VW need to seriously sort out the stair tools so that they are easily usable particularly with winders. I struggled a lot yesterday and ended up with a compromise.

This kind of thing wears away at you when you're using VW.

You can spend hours trying to figure out how to make a VW model look semi-okay in 2D. It makes you wonder why you're using this software.

I don't mean free-form modelling Mike, I mean direct modelling of a parametric object (instead of a dialogue window).

The wall tool in VW is a form of this kind of modelling for example (to an extent).
