Global visbility of classes affects 3d viewport visibility

I have encountered a strange behaviour between the visibility of classes for design layers and the setting of classes in viewports. seems that the visbility of global classes affects the visbility of geometry inside viewports, overriding the viewport settings.

not so easy to explain. therefore i did a screenrecording.

anyone got the same behaviour?

understand this.

but this behaviour appears only with open-gl rendering.

when i leave the settings as seen in the screenrecording and switch the rendermode to renderworks then everything is rendered as seen in the wireframe.

also - if the settings of the design layer classes override those of the viewport, then in wireframe the elements too must not be visible. but they are...
