It would be great if there were a way to calculate the lengths of shown landscape area and polyline edges that effectively excludes the length of edges that are hidden.
As a landscape architect, I typically need to show edging around portions of my landscape areas. Using the hide/show edge option, I can display only the edges I want to show and then call them out as edging on the plan. It would be great if the displayed edges of landscape areas could then be calculated to indicate the total linear feet of edging required in the project.
Does anyone know of a work around for this or is there any way to avoid having to draw a separate polyline for the edging just to be able to calculate the total length?
