George K
Hi, Hopefully a simple question with a simple answer. I have tried to use the sketch rendering mode for my model (axo 3d view) but it only seems to be able to display it in sketchy mode but wireframe as well. I have seen a few sketch views with hidden line so just wondered if I need to have Renderworks as well Currently using VW14 on mac. Any help would be appreciated GK Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted November 21, 2013 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 21, 2013 (edited) Once you create a viewport: http://kbase.vectorworks.net/questions/826/Creating+Viewports You can set that viewports rendering mode to Sketch directly, or you can set it to Hidden Line and then in the "Line Render Options" apply a sketch styling to it. (You don't strictly NEED to use a viewport, you can choose these options from View > Rendering as well, but its best to render in viewports most of the time.) Greggoid
Just looking to see if anybody else has the same issues as me. I am trying to render with sketch lines and I cannot figure out why some lines just render with a normal outline while others carry the sketch lines as they should. See attached. Thanks Quote Link to comment
Andy Broomell
Cool rendering! One thing to check for the offending objects is to select them in the Design Layer and go to the Render tab - check that Sketch is set to something other than "No Sketch". Quote Link to comment
Greggoid
Andy, I hadn't thought of checking here, Oddly, all of the offenders are indeed set to render as something other than no sketch. 😞 Quote Link to comment
