2014 no 3ds Export?

Hi,

Perhaps I am being stupid, but I don't see an option to export as 3ds in 2014, I had no problem in 2013.

Any advice?

Should be right under File > Export > Export 3DS.

If you don't see it, make sure to go to Tools > Workspaces and select a default workspace, then look for the command again. Or you can use the workspace editor to add the command:

I think the only version that can't export to 3DS is the educational version of Vectorworks 2014.

Thanks for getting back to me.

It's not there in my version, I can export to Cinema 4D, but this gives a C4D extension, I have no option for 3DS like I did in 2013.

Mine is a Service Select upgrade from 2013 to 2014 with Spotlight, and Renderworks.

When you go to the workspace editor, then attempt to add it from "All Menus" you do not see it there either?

If you look in the menus under Tools>Workspaces which workspace is currently active? I suspect its the Fundamentals workspace. Switch to Spotlight and the Export 3DS should be in the Export Menu.

Yes, if you are seeing "PDF Quartz Only" you are in a Fundamentals or Fundamentals-based workspace, select your Spotlight workspace and you should have it.

Under Workspaces I only have an option for Fundamentals, do I have to import the Spotlight workspace? Under License I have Spotlight.
