Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted November 4, 2013 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 4, 2013 Hi guys, Back in Vectorworks 2010, we made the legacy dialog APIs obsolete. They were still working but produced warnings when executed with developer mode on. For the next major version of Vectorworks we are planning to completely remove them. This means that if you still have scripts that create dialogs with the old API, they will no longer compile and run. Please make sure you use the modern Layout Manager APIs, which have been available for many years, to create dialogs in Vectorworks 2015. I?m letting you know of this coming change very early so you will have plenty of time to migrate your code and make sure it is ready for the next major release next year. More information about the legacy API that will be removed, and information of the corresponding functions from the Layout Manager can be found here: 2010 Deprecated Dialog Functions Some basic information about Layout Manager can be found here: Creating a Custom Dialog Box Regards, Vlado Vladislav Stanev Vertical Products Manager, Engineering Nemetschek Vectorworks, Inc. 7150 Riverwood Drive Columbia, MD 21046 USA Quote Link to comment
