RCrussellUK
I wonder if it's normal to crash frequently? I've been getting freeze up with beach ball every few operations when using editing wall/slab tool. Only solution for freeze is close VW and restart. I am using Maverick - only used Mountain Lion for a few days and did not complete a huge amount of operations with it, but VW was not crashing with the frequency I'm experiencing now. It's happening more often than with SketchUp. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted October 28, 2013 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted October 28, 2013 It should not be, no, are you able to repeatedly cause the crash intentionally with a particular series of steps? Does the same crashing happen even in a new blank file or only in more complex/converted files? Quote Link to comment

RCrussellUK
Thanks for the concern! Undoing changes to wall components, or trying to edit the shape of a slab with vertex. Happens two or three times, so I change my task and it stops (seems specific tasks 'jam' it) until I get a similar error. Happened a few times yesterday but today has been okay. I've only been using Vectorworks for a week now - so can't compere my experience to it's usual performance. I will try and record more specifically what I'm doing next time it happens. Where should I send my systems report? Edited October 28, 2013 by RCrussellUK Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted October 28, 2013 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted October 28, 2013 You can attach it here, or contact your local tech support directly and they can have a look to see why the crashes are occurring: http://www.vectorworks.net/international/ Quote Link to comment
RCrussellUK
Crashed after several undo's upon a wall object. Maybe this error report can give a clue? Quote Link to comment

RCrussellUK
I don't seem to be able to attach the .spx file format? Do you know of some other way to package it? Edited October 29, 2013 by RCrussellUK Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted October 29, 2013 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted October 29, 2013 Go ahead and email your local support with the file in that case, along with a description of your crashing as well as possibly one of the files in question (if email attachment limits permit) Quote Link to comment
