Christiaan
I need to create a texture to simulate this type of cladding. It's Rodeca translucent polycarbonate sheets: http://www.rodeca.de What's the best way do you think? Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Start with a good photo (maybe from their promo material on the web?) and then turn it into a texture. Fast and easy. It may not be 100% perfect but it will be good enough for most purposes... Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
Okay, thanks Peter. I was trying to do it with the Tiles shader but it wasn't working out. Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
The other way to do this, which I'm going to try, is to model a separate panel and texture for each colour. Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
That did the trick. Quote Link to comment
Kevin McAllister
That looks great. Geometry always seems to be the easiest way. After reading this I played a bit with the tiles shader set to lines 1. The randomize option for colour should work but instead does really weird things with the colour. Not what I expected at all. Perhaps even a bug.... Kevin Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
That looks good. Certainly more time consuming, but a nice result. Quote Link to comment
