Vlad
In the download section for Student/Faculty there is only one option (the default content). Is the full content option not up yet, or is it dropped completely from now on? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted September 25, 2013 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 25, 2013 (edited) To decrease the overall size of the previously huge installer, the libraries can now be downloaded and installed any time after the regular application has already been installed: http://kbase.vectorworks.net/questions/1170/Vectorworks+2014+Content+Library+Installation This has the added benefit of being able to add libraries later without having to do a full reinstall as was needed before. J. Wallace
Hi Jim I have been trying to download 6 libraries for a week now... the server seems maxed out. Is there any other locations we can find these stored? Thanks Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted September 25, 2013 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 25, 2013 Hi Jim I have been trying to download 6 libraries for a week now... the server seems maxed out. Is there any other locations we can find these stored? Thanks Are you trying to download all 6 of them at once? It may be the server throttling your speed if you have a lot of them all at the same time. However, even the huge libraries like Landmark (3.5ish GB) should download on a broadband connection within an hour. If you start the download on Architect or Fundamentals by themselves, what is the speed you are seeing? Also, how are you currently connected to the internet? Some wireless connection can drop the larger files. Quote Link to comment
Guest Jim Kelly
To add on to what Jim said, there shouldn't be any issues on the server side, it's hosted on Amazon Cloud Front so should be fairly reliable. What browser/version are you using to download? Perhaps if you see interrupted downloads maybe a download manager that can handle resume might help ensure it finishes. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted September 25, 2013 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 25, 2013 True, we have had the best luck using the Chrome and Firefox browsers: http://kbase.vectorworks.net/questions/715/Alternate+Browsers Quote Link to comment
