twk
Vectorworks 2014 hasn't been released in NZ yet, end of the month. So counting the days.. However I haven't seen anywhere online (vectorworks main website, service select members area, developer site for vectorworks) about the added python scripting language. Does anyone know when we'll be seeing some examples/tutorials? Or if those who got the release today had any manuals/example scripts bundled together with the releases? Cheers Tui Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Tui I've been looking for those, too. Just checked a little while ago. Both VW Help and the vw developer site have the 2013 VS Reference guide. However the VS editor has both the VS functions and the Python functions. I bet the website updates in the next couple days. mk Edited September 18, 2013 by michaelk Quote Link to comment

Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted September 18, 2013 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 18, 2013 Once the full release occurs on the 23rd, there are plans to have a number of tutorials and example files available on the developer wiki: http://developer.vectorworks.net/index.php/Main_Page Quote Link to comment
Assembly
It looks like some updates on Python Scripting has been added to the site now. There does not seem to be much in the way of tutorials. Interested to see more. It looks like Python allow access to OS operations. One function that needs to be added to Vectorworks export is the inclusion of a drawing revision in the PDF name. Hopefully some guru here can figure it out with Python. Quote Link to comment
