Export Auto-Hybrid to IFC

Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for that. I had done some research on this on another techboard post. Are you are saying IFC objects will break if they are not assigned to an IFC class? Do objects like walls and doors not have this issue because they are automatically assigned to IFC classes?

Thanks.

Hi Jonathan,

Thanks.

if you assign the IFC information to the objects, then they become an IFC object. If you do not, then they are not an IFC object, so they do not export.

I have written a manual for this topic and created a whole bunch of movies for it.

IFC stands for Industry Foundation Classes. Classes in this context do not equate to classes in Vectorworks.

Yes. Thanks for that. I had read this in Design Series User Guide. I had forgotten what I had previously read, and wasn't 100% sure it was always that cut and dry.

My previous post.

What manual of yours are you referring to? Are you referring to one that is part of your subscription service?

Thanks again.
